INT WOMEN'S DAY 2024
(THE TAPESTRY OF LOVE)
On 8 Mar 2024, International Women’s Day, ELPIS @ Hideout, rallied 46 volunteers, over the course of 10 weeks, to come together to crochet The Tapestry of Love.
The 46 volunteers came from all walks of life, men and women included, as young as teens to our young seniors in their golden years! All for one purpose. To gift to HCSA DaySpring Residential Treatment Centre, a piece of love, to let the residents know that they are not alone in their fight against the sexual and emotional abuse they endured.
The tapestry consisted of 360 granny squares and measured 2.6M in length and 1.6M in height. It was presented to DaySpring by our guest of honor, Ms Jane Ittogi, the spouse of Singapore’s President, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam.
